Statement of Faith

From the Scriptures we believe and teach that:

1. There is but one God revealed in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, known as the Trinity.

2. This one God created all things including mankind, his special and crowning creation.

3. Our Lord Jesus Christ was truly God and truly man, the Son sent from the Father, born of the virgin Mary.

4. God chose his people before the foundation of the world and sent his Son to save them in particular.

5. Sin, through Adam s disobedience, has touched every part of human nature, separating men and women from God.

6. Jesus Christ redeemed sinners by his sacrifice on the cross at Calvary, rising after his burial and ascending to the right hand of God the Father.

7. We are made right with God (justified) by God s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, the only way of salvation.

8. We are born again to eternal life by the Holy Spirit, and this life is demonstrated by the holy life of the believer.

9. True believers will continue in faith to eternal glory.

10. The church is the body of Christ formed to serve Him and be a witness to His Gospel in the world.

11. Our Lord Jesus Christ will come again personally as he promised.

12. There is a literal resurrection of the dead and a future judgement resulting in everlasting punishment of the wicked and everlasting happiness for those made right with God.

13. The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired and were thus inerrant as originally given. They are totally sufficient for faith and practice, in every sense being the very Word of God.
